Community & Causes
RAINN
RAINN is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and operator of the National Sexual Assault Hotline.
They are changing the way the nation thinks about and responds to sexual violence by expanding prevention, ensuring justice, and providing healing to create safer communities.
THE POLARIS PROJECT
Named after the North Star, an historical symbol of freedom, Polaris is leading a survivor-centered, justice- and equity-driven movement to end human trafficking. Since 2007, Polaris has operated the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, connecting victims and survivors to support and services, and helping communities hold traffickers accountable. Through that work, Polaris has built the largest known dataset on human trafficking in North America. The data and expertise gained from two decades of working on trafficking situations in real time informs strategies that hold traffickers accountable, support survivors on their healing journeys and address the vulnerabilities that enable the business of stealing freedom for profit.
THE EFFING FOUNDATION
The Effing Foundation for Sex-Positivity is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to reduce sexual shame and normalize conversations around human sexuality by fostering sex-positive art and education.
"Sex-positivity refers to a radical stance: accepting everyone’s sexual desires and choices, providing they’re consensually engaged in." - Dr. Carol Queen
By increasing public knowledge about human sexuality and sex-positivity, we promote sexual literacy, health, and wellness worldwide.
The Effing Foundation promotes sexuality education and artistic expression of sexuality through programs that are inclusive of women (cisgender and transgender), people who are members of gender/(a)sexuality/relationship minorities, people of color, fat people, intersex people, people with disabilities (mental illness, chronic illness, cognitive disability or impairment, intellectual disability, and/or other physical disabilities), neurodiverse people, people who live at or below their state's poverty line, people who are currently or formerly sex workers, and/or people who are currently or formerly incarcerated.
